¿QUIERES APRENDER A CREAR HERRAMIENTAS COMO LO HACÍAN NUESTROS ANTEPASADOS?
La prehistoria nos ofrece un vistazo a los primeros pasos de la humanidad en el desarrollo de la tecnología. Aunque no dejaron textos, los artefactos líticos nos hablan de la creatividad y adaptabilidad de nuestros antepasados. La arqueología experimental es una disciplina que busca revivir las técnicas de fabricación y uso de estas herramientas para comprender mejor su vida cotidiana.
En este taller, realizaremos una sesión de talla lítica para reconstruir el proceso de fabricación de las herramientas, tal como lo hicieron nuestros antepasados. Además, probaremos la efectividad de estas herramientas en actividades similares a las de la vida diaria de las comunidades prehistóricas.

Esta actividad se realiza, con motivo de la celebración del Día Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia (11 de febrero), en el marco del Ciclo de conferencias«Historias de la Tierra» (II ed.), organizado por el Instituto Universitario de Investigación en Ciencias Ambientales de Aragón (IUCA) de la Universidad de Zaragoza.
SOBRE LAS PONENTES
Ekaterina Shveygert es investigadora predoctoral por la Universidad de Zaragoza (contrato predoctoral de la Diputación General de Aragón (DGA). Su tesis doctoral se trata de un estudio sobre la tecnología lítica musteriense en la zona de los Pirineos, tanto españoles como franceses, con el fin de comparar las áreas habitadas por los neandertales para reconocer su capacidad y los mecanismos de adaptación a diferentes entornos.
Cristina López-Tascón es Doctora en Historia con Mención Internacional por la Universidad de Oviedo. Actualmente, disfruta de un contrato postdoctoral Margarita Salas y realiza su estancia de investigación en la Universidad de Zaragoza. Su línea de investigación se centra en el análisis de las industrias líticas del Paleolítico Medio y los inicios del Paleolítico Superior a través de la Traceología, disciplina que analiza las huellas de uso presentes en los elementos de piedra para desentrañar su funcionalidad.
